Today I am going to review two affordable, high-quality lipsticks from Wet n Wild Megalast range in the shade Mochalicious and Cherry Picking. They’re pocket-friendly, highly pigmented, last longer and the Megalast range has a wide variety of lip colours to choose from! Wet N Wild is one of the best drugstore brands that rarely disappoints. It’s my second favourite after Colourpop Cosmetics.
Price: INR 295 (or USD 2.69) for 3.3g
Availability: You can buy them from Nykaa Flipkart and Hok Makeup (In India).
Packaging
The Wet N Wild megalast lipsticks come in a black tube with a transparent cap which shuts tight with a click. The plastic packaging is very fragile and messy and the lipsticks transfer to the cap all the time. But I will ignore that because of product quality and an attractive price tag.
Both the shades have a slightly different packaging because the brand did a shade extension that didn’t have the same packaging as the previous range.

Staying Power
These Wet N Wild Megalast lipsticks claim to stay put for 4 hours but that’s a blatant lie! It really goes up to 6-7 hours with some fading in the centre of lips after a heavy and oily meal.
The darker shades, like Cherry Picking, stay longer and also leave a prominent tint behind. However, the same can’t be said for Mochalicious. The more pigmented the shade, the higher is the staying power.
These lipsticks also don’t have that classic sweet vanilla scent to them which is a big plus for people with a sensitive nose, including me.
Texture and Application
Both the shades offer a demi-matte, cream finish that sets to a matte finish with time. The lipsticks are easy to apply and don’t cause any tugging. They’re not at all drying and you can easily skip a lip balm underneath unless you have really chapped lips.
One swipe (of the lighter shades too) is all you need even if you have pigmented lips. The opacity of these lipsticks is that amazing! They also don’t bleed.
Swatches
Here I have swatched both the shades on my hands and one swipe is all I did. Left: Cherry Picking, Right: Mochalicious

Now coming to the individual shades,
Mochalicious
This is a beautiful nude brown shade with mauve undertones. It looks like a brownish nude shade on people who have Olive skin tone like me and is also known to be a dupe of MAC Verve Lipstick (A cheaper option that costs less than one-fifth of the price of MAC. What else do we need?) This is a really good lipstick for college and office going girls and for those who love neutral lipsticks that don’t wash them out.
It stays put for 5-6 hours and doesn’t transfer much. The lipstick does leave a very light tint behind after fading uniformly.

Wet N Wild has a wide range of neutral lipsticks, so if you’re someone who’s looking for a completely matte formula then try their Catsuit Liquid Lipstick in Give Me Mocha.
Cherry Picking
A very gorgeous true magenta shade that looks good on every skin tone and brings out the warmth of us brown girls. This is really pigmented and transfers more than the previous shade. But a little blotting can fix the problem.
It stays put for around 6-7 hours with some fading in the centre of the lips after heavy meals and that’s the case with every lipstick out there. The colour payoff is crazy and one swipe is all you need!
This shade is so beautiful, it can completely transform your look. It brightens up your face and can be worn on a casual day out as well as for a night out with your girlfriends.

Taking this one off is a pain. You need an oil-based makeup remover or just some oil to take it off. I use the Garnier Micellar Water to remove these lipsticks.
Conclusion
If you’re looking for an affordable lipstick with a semi-matte finish and good staying power, these lipsticks from Wet n Wild MegaLast range are an amazing choice. The shade range is huge (29!) and you can definitely find more than a few that’ll work great on you. The Wet N Wild Mochalicious is an amazing choice for nude lovers and Cherry Picking is for people who love bright colours.

Well I was using lady pink from candy love. I really love that colour but I will surely try mocha for sure. It seems pretty good.

It’s surely is a nice nude shade for almost every skintone. Might look like a dark brown on very fair ones. Thanks for dropping by!

I like both of these shades and they look great on you but I think Mochalicious is my fave! So glad that they are vegan too!

I gravitate more towards Mocha-licious too. Something about the nude lippies just make me buy them all the time. I might do a “50 shades of nude” someday ?

I love that Mocha shade! I’ve always been into those brown/mauvey shades. I’ve never really looked into these, I guess the packaging just never really caught my attention, but I realy like the Mocha color ?
Rifat Yaseen says
I love the shade too. I really wish they improve the packaging, it’s Too basic and messy!
