Today I am going to review the Sugar As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact Powder in the shade Macchiato that’s a perfect match for my NC 42 skin colour. I got it last year when it was just launched and I can’t put it down ever since. It’s lightweight, sets the face, gives an even skin tone and helps with keeping my skin oil-free.
Price: ₹699 for 9g

My Thoughts on Sugar As Nude As It Gets Compact Powder
Available in 3 shades: 01 Latte (Light), 02 Cappuccino (Light-Medium), 03 Macchiato (Medium) There’s nothing for deeper shades.
Packaging
It comes in a cardboard box with some chic graphics inside of which is the sturdy compact powder. The black square case shuts easily with a click and is travel-safe. The packaging is really portable and has some weight to it. It comes with a mirror for quick touch-ups and soft sponge applicator. Usually, I use the Real techniques Buffing Brush to powder my face but whenever I’m outside and need a touch up the sponge comes handy.
Texture
The powder is finely milled and packed really well inside the case. It doesn’t have a very powdery formula so it will take you a while to get through it, which is a good thing. It feels very light on the skin and doesn’t emphasize dryness and fine lines.
Application & Staying Power
The sugar compact powder applies beautifully to my skin and has a really soft velvet texture. The powder gives a matte finish but it’s not drying matte, just an even skin tone that’s devoid of greasiness. It keeps my face oil-free for 4 hours after which my T-zone starts to get oily so I need to blot it and do some touch-ups. I have used it over foundation and concealer and since it’s light coverage it doesn’t get heavy and sets the base just fine.
The powder also comes with an SPF15 which provides added sun protection.
Coverage
This is a sheer coverage powder which evens out the skin and imparts a healthy glow. It does not provide a heavy coverage if you’re looking for that but you can build it up to medium coverage. Since it is so sheer and lightweight, it works amazing as a setting powder for your base makeup. I like the finish it gives to my skin as I am not looking for a high coverage powder, just something to set my makeup or even out my skin on regular no makeup days and provide oil control.
If you can see the swatch, it matches my skin colour beautifully.
Conclusion
The Sugar pressed powder is an amazing and affordable compact powder that’s also cruelty-free. It is non-powdery and tightly packed that gives you a lot of usages so this is going to last you a very long time. If you like the sound of that, you should definitely give this pressed powder a try!
