I decided to start another project pan, this time including all the skin care products I have been neglecting and I wish to finish them off by June 2018.
The current makeup project pan that I am doing is working really well for me so I am quite hopeful with this one as well.
Moving on to the products:
1. Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 50+
Price: ₹514 for 88ml
I included a sunscreen to make sure I don’t skip it any day. I am always running late, so there are times when I forget to apply it.
This particular product works nicely, saves from sunburn and tanning, doesn’t break me out, and is water resistant. But it doesn’t provide a matte finish to my oily skin (it doesn’t claim to, so it’s fine) hence I need to powder my face.
The lotus matte gel one is really good for oily skin, want to repurchase it as soon as I’m done with this.
I’ve marked the quantity left (down to up).
2. Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture SPF15
Price: ₹374 for 115ml
Another Neutrogena product and this one doesn’t work for me. As soon as I apply it to my cleansed matte face, it makes my face shiny. It’s one of my ‘make it work’ product because I paid for it. I set it with powder and then it works fine.
That’s the little progress I could make in 4 months as I keep switching to better moisturizers.
3. The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Butter
Price: ₹1150 for 200ml
This is a really good body butter, smells refreshing, moisturizes really well but summer is here and I don’t really need a body butter. Want to finish it before the heat and humidity increases.
As you can see, I have a little less than a half left.
4. Lotus Herbals Whiteglow Oatmeal & Yogurt Skin Whitening Scrub
Price: ₹140 for 50g
I have had this for almost a year now and I have started to use it regularly for a few weeks recently. I have ignored it for a long time.
It’s a good physical exfoliator, leaves skin clean, fresh and glowy. Stay away if you have a lot of acne as the scrub beads would irritate your skin.
Also, the whitening claim… nevermind.
There’s more than half of it left and I think I can use it up if I am regular with it.
5. Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm with Vitamin E & Peppermint
Price: $3.30 for 4.3g
Another flavour of the same brand is available on Sephora India website for ₹540-₹570. They’re mostly out of stock.
This is my holy grail lip balm! The peppermint smell is so minty and refreshing, repairs chapped lips, has a waxy texture so no oily and slippery lip balm finish, works well under matte lipsticks and you don’t have to keep reapplying it. I have one more and I’ve had them for a year and a half now. So I think I should concentrate on one at a time and finish it up before it goes bad.
The packaging shows it’s pretty old.
You can see more than half of the quantity is left.
6. Fuller’s Earth
Price: No idea, bought from a local store quite some time ago.
So I transferred all the Fuller’s earth (Multani Mitti) I have to the containers from my March empties. I included one container of this so that I can be regular with masking because the heat and my non-existent sleeping schedule are taking a toll on my skin.
Have you used any of these? Also, leave the link to your project pans, if you have any, I love reading such articles.
[…] really enjoyed using this. It was a part of my 6 Skincare by June Project Pan and probably the product I got the most success in. I have talked about it in detail in the Finale […]
