First Project Pan – Summer Edition

Project pan is a series where we select a bunch of makeup products from our stash and try to finish it within contemplated time.

We all have cosmetics less than we want and more than we need. Often times, in this process of hoarding makeup, we neglect a lot of products and aren’t able to use them all fairly.
Hopefully, it inspires you as well to dig in your collection and use what you already have instead of buying every new stuff you find in the store.

I want to go through 18 this 2018 and will be doing it in parts.

Here, I will be introducing a small list of products I want to finish off or hit pan/goal on, by the end of May (I hope). I will be including all summer-friendly beauties and mini-reviews of them below. And will also try to write detailed reviews of some as I keep using them.

Project Pan- Summer Edition Products
Products for Project Pan- Summer Edition

1. Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm – 01 Poppin’ Poppy
This is a beautiful, moisturizing lip balm/ tint which gives glossy coral lips. I’ve had it for a while but I don’t think I have used more than one-fourth of it. Beautiful summer shade, want to use it up soon to move on to other lip products. (The scratches on tube show how old it is)

2. L’Oréal Paris Lineur Intense eyeliner – Carbon Black :
I really like the tip of the liner but not a fan of its formula. It’s not opaque and you have to go over quite a few times to get that opacity. Smudges easily. I am halfway through it and want to use it up and throw away and never repurchase it in my life.

3. Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara :
This is a beautiful and affordable mascara which gives you those dramatic lashes. I really enjoy using it, gives my poker straight lashes an instant lift and length. I bought it recently, in January, and wish to finish it up soon before it crosses the 6-month deadline.

4. Sugar As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact Powder – 03 Macchiato :
Got it some 8-9 months ago and I enjoy using it. The powder is finely milled and offers sheer coverage. The design on the top hasn’t worn down even though I have used it quite a lot of times.Wishing to hit pan on this one.

5. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer :
This is a good silicone based primer and really minimizes the appearance of pores. Got it a few months ago but I have used it twice or thrice. So I will try to get through it in this project pan, well at least half of it. (Don’t want to be overambitious)

6. Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil – 02 Hot Chocolate :
A dark brown eye pencil which stays put for a long time and looks very soft in the eyes as opposed to the harsh black kajal. I didn’t want to roll it all up because I was afraid I am going to knock it over. But I did and it went back in smoothly.

7. The Body Shop White Musk Libertine Eau De Toilette :
This has a light floral-musk scent and I have had this for a long time. There’s a small quantity left and I put it on this list intentionally for some motivation. I can see myself emptying it pretty soon. I hope you can see the product left, it’s along the “white musk” line.

8. PAC Lip Pencil LPL14 Mauve :
A beautiful mauve coloured lip pencil, creamy in texture and glides on smoothly. Not exactly an MLBB shade for me, but would be for people with fair-medium skin tones. I still enjoy using it, to overline my lips a little. Helps to prevent feathering. There’s quite a lot of product left, I haven’t sharpened it even once. Quite hopeful of finishing more than half of it.

I have attached images of the quantity left wherever I could, that’s where I will be starting from and will update you on my progress at the end of this edition.

This will definitely motivate people to use their makeup products to the fullest and also to resist themselves from buying any more makeup! ?

I've used the cleansing oil a few times & compared I've used the cleansing oil a few times & compared to my Softymo cleansing oil, the texture is very thin and lightweight. And this has some scent to it. So far I like both but the choice will be made when I finish them & have to buy a new one.😉

The Centella Cleansing Ampoule Foam has been in my routine for weeks now. I expected a drying cleanser given the pearly finish but I'm surprised! It foams and cleanses well, but it also feels hydrating... or should I say more balanced.

@skin1004official [PR-gifted] I have the full range and I'm discovering everything slowly. I am looking forward to doing blog reviews so I can go in detail with ingredients & comparison with several other products I like from other brands.

I love picking on my skin especially when it's dry so the only way to avoid that is to keep it nourished and this nail & cuticle oil by @essie has been a blessing!

I'm sure there are many brands that have cuticle oil, I've tried Araina when I was in India and it was decent. So no crying about availability, go oil your cuticles.👋
First empties of the year with some really great p First empties of the year with some really great products that I loved the past year!

So far the @skin1004official has been really good - foams well but leaves a hydrating feel after rinsing.

I can't tell the difference between Avene & LRP thermal spray but they're both helpful with soothing.

For the Kiko eyeliner, is it 06? or 09? or 60? I can't be bothered.🫣 If you've used any of these products on my reccos or otherwise, lemme know! #bestofmakeup #2022makeup

Haven't put it down since the day I bought this. I prefer to wear it as a tint by blurring the product on my lips, such a flattering shade.☺️

👉The application is smooth, I don't need to drag and tug at my lips.
👉Lasts very long. After a meal, it'll fade away but leave a beautiful tint behind.
👉Has a light minty smell but doesn't sting the lips.
👉Matte but comfortable.

The year of body care! I tried a lot of different The year of body care! I tried a lot of different products so it was a bit difficult to choose the best of the best. But here we are! 😌

📝My criteria for selection was to prioritize the ones that perform the best against MY major concerns like 👉bumpy skin due to ingrown hair, clogged pores (the CeraVe combo works like a charm, I use the cleanser on my face too💙), 👉an anti-perspirant that doesn't dry out or irritate the underarm skin, and 👉a body cream that relieves & nourishes my dry body skin.

🏆Honorary mention: Uriage & Bioderma cleansing oil - y'all were great to me but exfoliating wash was a priority sorry.🤭 Same goes for Garnier 🍉 body food, you're my summer & autumn bestie!
