Colourpop Precision Brow Pencil
Hey there! Today, I’ll be reviewing another cruelty-free, drugstore holy grail of mine that gives me the best brows. Do you want a good eyebrow pencil that’s pigmented but also easy to work with without spending a lot of money? Then this review of Colourpop Precision Brow Pencil is going to help you find your Mr. (Brow) Right.
Price: $5 for 0.09g. I bought it from Colourpop’s site.
Product Description
Add a little umph to your brows! To sculpt and define, this micro-tip pencil’s soft and creamy formula makes it easy to achieve your #browgoals. The Colourpop Precision Brow pencil is vegan and cruelty-free.
My Thoughts on Colourpop Precision Brow Pencil
I bought the precision brow pencil just a few months back because I needed to step up my brow game. Before this, I had only used the Maybelline brow pencil which is the worst brow pencil ever! So I needed to restore my faith in brow products and Colourpop seemed to be the best option. Why? Because they’re extremely affordable and have never disappointed me!
Packaging
The brow pencil has a very sleek white packaging with Colourpop Precision Brow Pencil written over it in silver. It’s a dual-ended pencil with one end having the brow product and another one, a spoolie. The brow pencil has a tiny micro-tip that gives precise strokes.

One major drawback is that this pencil is not retractable. Once you swivel up the pencil, you can’t revert that action. And this point is clearly mentioned on their website. Guess who didn’t read it and took out almost all the product? That’s me! Please take out a little at a time because there is NO WAY out once you mess up.
The spoolie provided is very dense and soft. It doesn’t give you that itchy feeling when you brush your brows with it. It blends in the product beautifully.
Both the sides have a cap that shuts close. The cap on the pencil side matches the actual shade of the product and that of the spoolie side is transparent. The precision brow pencil came in a light mustard colour cardboard.
Shade
The Colourpop Precision Brow pencil is available in 9 shades: Champagne Blonde, Honey Blonde, Dope Taupe, Bronde Moment, Audacious Auburn, Bangin’ Brunette, Cool Cocoa, Black N’ Brown and Taken for Granite. I bought the shade Black N’ Brown which is an ideal match for me. It’s a cool-toned dark brown which matches my dark brown hair colour and will be a suitable shade for most of the dusky Indian girls. The colour is very soft, as you can see in the pictures. It doesn’t give you that stark brown or black shade that looks unnatural.
I have used light strokes and it draws such fine lines without compromising with the pigmentation.
Texture
The texture of this Colourpop precision brow pencil is not too creamy or waxy, it’s somewhere in between and is exactly how I prefer my brow pencils to be. I can easily fill in my brows and it stays smudge-proof all day which wouldn’t have been the case if it was too creamy. Had the brow pencil be too waxy, it’d be difficult for me to get the colour to show up.
So if you like creamy brow pencils that also have a waxy side to them, the Colourpop brow pencil is what you need in your life.
Staying Power
I have oily skin and that combined with my city’s hot and humid weather makes it difficult for makeup to stay intact. However, the Colourpop brow pencil stays put all day until I remove it with my Garnier Micellar Water.
Pigmentation & Application
This deep brown colour melts with my actual brow shade. You don’t have to go too hard while filling in your brows or you might end up breaking the tip. I just do some light strokes to get the desired colour. Going light-handed with a brow pencil is the key to fuller, natural looking brows.

This Colourpop brow pencil is also great for beginners who avoid brow pencils because they are too afraid of messing up.
However, if you want some drama you can easily build up the colour. But if you use a lot of product to get very bold brows, you need to set them with a brow powder to avoid smudging.
Tips to use
- Brush your brows with the spoolie.
- Start with light strokes and fill in the areas that look sparse.
- Avoid the area where your brows just start.
- Once you have filled in, brush your brows with the spoolie again.
Conclusion
If you’re on the lookout for an affordable brow pencil that stays all day and gives you fuller brows, you should definitely buy the Colourpop Precision Brow Pencil.

Hey! I just found my Mr. Right with this brow pencil, haha. CP is one of my favourite drugstore brands and given the fact that it’s not available in my country, i really do need to work and spend a bit extra to get my hands on their products. Nonetheless, they’re worth it! ❤️️
