Hello! And Happy Easter to everyone celebrating 🙂
March is over now so let’s talk about a few beauty products I went through last month.
1. Lotus Herbals Alphamoist Alpha Hydroxy Skin Renewal Oil-Free Moisturizer
Price: ₹295 for 80ml
This is a really good moisturizer for oily skin, lightweight, gets absorbed easily and sets to a matte finish. Didn’t break me out and control oil for 3-4 hours except for my T-zone (This buddy won’t behave unless I powder it)
Lasted 2-3 months with twice a day usage.
Would I repurchase? Yes after I go through my current Neutrogena (Pst… I don’t like it at all) one.
2. Aroma Magic Aromatic Skin Toner
Price: ₹115 for 100 ml
I am not a fan of this toner, it felt like an extra step which didn’t make any difference to my skin. It smells nice and is free of harmful chemicals but I think there are better and effective toners out there.
Lasted 2 months with twice a day usage.
Would I repurchase? No
3. The Body Shop Africa Shea Butter and Sesame Oil Body Balm
Price: $24 for 6.8 oz / 193g (Not sure, couldn’t find it online)
This offers intense moisturization and my dry, itchy body skin drinks it up within 5 minutes. It literally melts when you rub it between your palms.
I absolutely love this, it is so nourishing, smells great (makes me sneeze but still smells good) and is a winter must-have. Lighter than body butters, heavier than body lotions.
Apply it once and you’re done until you have your next shower. Smells good throughout the day so you can even skip perfume. The packaging is so pretty and luxurious.
Would I repurchase? YES. Actually, I already have a backup but will use it in winter.
4. Bath & Body Works Lavender & Sandalwood Whipped Body Butter
Price: $15.50 for 6.5 oz / 185g (₹1000 approx)
This is another body butter I used up. I have been using both of them alternatively and I think I like the TBS one more. And it doesn’t mean this isn’t good. It’s amazing, nourishes skin and smells nice. Skin is moisturized for the entire day.
Would I repurchase? Maybe. I have only used this and the shea butter one from this brand so would like to try some other variant.
I like the formula of TBS one better because of how it just melts in my hands, is lightweight and more hydrating.
Both lasted for 4-5 months combined and I used once a day over my entire body.
Both TBS and Bath & Body Works are on discount most of the time, so buy it during those sales.
5. Cipla 8x Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
Price: ₹248 for 100ml
I had itchy and flaky scalp during winters so I bought this as it has 1% w/v zinc pyrithione.
It worked wonders for my scalp, the itchiness was gone in the very first wash and I am not exaggerating! Took regular usage and a few DIY hair masks to get rid of the flakiness completely.
Leaves hair clean and soft, I didn’t need a conditioner afterwards
Bought it from a medical store and this bottle lasted me 3 months with twice a week usage.
Would I repurchase? Yes. I will use it once every month to prevent dandruff in future.
Have you tried any of these? What products did you go through in March? Comment below 🙂
