Being someone with oily skin, finding a good moisturizer has always been a struggle. With so many brands claiming to miraculously change your skin, it’s disappointing when they can’t even moisturize without breaking you out or adding gallons of oil to your oil-secreting reservoir.
Today I’m going to review one of the best summer moisturisers for oily skin I’ve ever used. Psst… It’s super-affordable and cruelty-free!

My Thoughts on Aroma Magic Juniper Berry Moisturiser
I’ve had decent experiences with Aroma Magic products in the past and was looking for a good moisturiser, that’s when I stumbled upon this one.
Trusting Blossom Kochhar, I ordered it without checking any review and thankfully it hasn’t disappointed me. It does have its set of pros and cons so please read till the end to know if it’s what your skin needs.
Packaging
It comes in a small, transparent plastic bottle which is sturdy and travel-friendly. The container has a functional pump dispenser which makes it easy-to-use and hygienic. Since the bottle is transparent, it’s easier to see how much quantity is left.
PackagingTexture & Smell
The moisturizer is very lightweight and transparent. It’s just like water but slightly more viscous in the formulation. This is not sticky or greasy and has a runny texture.
It feels like I’m spreading water on my face when I apply it and it gets absorbed quickly giving me soft and supple skin.
It doesn’t feel heavy at all. In fact, you’d feel as if you haven’t applied anything on your face. This has a very mild smell which doesn’t bother my sensitive nose and disappears after application.
TextureHow Does It Work?
This super lightweight beauty gets absorbed quickly and gives me a very soft, well-moisturized skin. With continuous usage, I’ve noticed my skin acting better and being hydrated.
I have very sensitive, acne-prone skin and it didn’t break me out, neither did it add gallons of oil to my already oily face. It doesn’t give a drying matte finish either, just the right amount of hydration.
Coming to whether it helps to keep the oils at bay, I honestly don’t know! I have oily skin and it’ll do its job — secrete sebum. So I don’t expect any basic moisturiser to drastically reduce sebum production.
Aroma Magic Juniper Berry Oil Free Moisturiser ReviewIt doesn’t provide heavy-duty moisturisation if you’re looking for that. It’s meant only for oily skin that’s looking for some hydration in summers. If you’re someone with dry or combination skin, they have other variants for you. You can check those out.
In winters, even my oily skin needs something extra and this is not enough. Since the texture of this Aroma Magic moisturiser is like an essence, you’d need something richer to keep dryness at bay.
Coming to its claim of lightening blemishes, I haven’t noticed any! Blemishes go away by themselves at a slow pace and some products do act as a catalyst.
My skincare also consists of Glycolic Acid Toner which is known for lightening blemishes and it does a pretty good job at that.

I take two pumps which is quite a generous amount for my face and it gets soaked up instantly. I use it in the morning and at night after cleansing my face with Sebamed Clear Face Cleansing Foam!

Overall, it’s a really good and affordable summer moisturiser for oily-skinned beauties. Anyone who has an oily-skin and are based in India (Availability!), please do give this one a try and you won’t be disappointed.

It won’t be enough for winters. Check brands like Simple, Cetaphil, etc they have good moisturizers and must be available in your country.

Great review! I do believe though that even though your skin may look oily (and therefore you may think it’s hydrated enough), that doesn’t mean that your skin isn’t dehydrated. Moisturiser is a must, even for oily skin!
I’m using Liz Earle at the moment and I still love it as much as when I started using it! It works great for me ☺️
